Kiln Rental
COMING SOON
Kiln rentals are available to the public (no membership required) and are required for anyone who surpasses their membership quota. Memberships cover majority of fees, however if member is a very high production maker, or making beyond their monthly quota, Squiggle requires you to rent your own firings. See each Membership for more details on monthly quotas.
Squiggle currently offers monthly public kiln dates in our 10 cubic f kiln. We offer 1 bisque at the beginning of the month and 1 Cone 6 glaze at the end of the month. Reference our Calendar for updated dates. If you wish to access the firings outside of the monthly date, we will require a full kiln rental. We require 4 days for each bisque and glaze turnaround.
Fees may change slightly depending on the type of work you wish to fire (if its very tall, wide, thick, or heavy). We will confirm all details with you prior to invoicing you for firings.

Other things to note about our kiln rentals:
- Prior to firing with us, you will be asked to read over our terms and conditions regarding firings, and requested to sign off on them
- Firings take in account electricity costs, wear and tear on the kiln, potential damage to the shelves, as well as your work being handled by professionals
- Minimum rental is a half shelf
- Upon your drop off, we have a kiln shelf template to double check space needed
- Invoice must be paid at drop off or prior to firing day
- Work must be fully dry, otherwise we will not fire it
- Clay and glazes must be a Cone 6 rating (not Cone 06)
- A clear makers mark is necessary to fire in public firings
- Studio Glazes may be utilized if Day Pass is purchased
- You may purchase clay from the studio and participate in public firings, however clay does not include firing and glaze fees
- If a firing sells out, we will update our calendar to reflect that
- We retain the right to adjust the firing schedule as needed, especially during holiday times
Interested in firing low fire work? We currently don't offer public kiln firings for low fire, but please feel free to email us and we can potentially arrange something in our studio firings.
